Saatva RX

The Saatva RX is not a mattress for everyone — and Saatva themselves will tell you that. It's specifically engineered for people with serious, chronic pain conditions. If you just have occasional morning stiffness, Saatva recommends (and we agree) that their Classic model is the better choice. But for people dealing with sciatica, arthritis, herniated discs, or scoliosis, the RX is in a class of its own.

I tested the RX for 30 nights alongside the Saatva Classic and Saatva HD. The first thing you notice is the plush surface — at 3-4/10 on the firmness scale, it's significantly softer than the Classic's medium-firm feel. But 'soft' is misleading here. The surface is plush, but the underlying support structure is remarkably firm. It's a dual sensation: immediate comfort on top with unyielding spinal support underneath. The cooling is excellent. The graphite and phase-change infusion in the Wave-Tech® foam kept surface temperatures 3-4°F cooler than the Saatva Classic during our overnight testing. For pain sufferers who also run hot, this is a meaningful advantage.
