When is the best time to buy a mattress in 2026?
Black Friday, Memorial Day, and Labor Day are the three deepest discount windows, with Presidents Day close behind. Across the brands we track, all four events land within roughly 10% of each other, so the practical answer is: buy at whichever of those events comes next rather than waiting six months for a marginally better price.
Do mattress coupon codes stack with holiday sale pricing?
Sometimes. DreamCloud, Nectar, and Helix have historically allowed a code on top of an event price, usually worth an extra $50–$100. Saatva and Tempur-Pedic auto-apply their discount at checkout and do not accept stacked codes. Our per-brand coupon pages note which behavior applies to each retailer.
Are holiday mattress discounts real or inflated?
We track list prices year-round. Premium brands (Saatva, Purple, Tempur-Pedic) run genuine, time-boxed dollar-off events. Several budget DTC brands keep a near-permanent 'sale' price, so the holiday banner changes little. Each event page flags which discounts are truly exceptional versus everyday pricing.
How far in advance do mattress sales start?
Most brands open their event pricing 10–14 days before the holiday itself and hold it steady through the following Tuesday. Doorbusters are rare in the mattress category, so there is almost no benefit to waiting for the holiday date.
Which mattress brand discounts the most?
By percentage, DreamCloud and Nectar lead — routinely 40–50% off with bundled accessories. By absolute dollars, Saatva and Tempur-Pedic take the most off ($400–$600), because they start from higher list prices. Organic brands like Avocado discount the least, rarely beyond $200–$300.
