Zoma Sports is designed with athletes in mind, featuring Triangulex zoned support for better spinal alignment and recovery. At a more accessible price than Bear, it's great for active individuals.
Our Hands-On Experience
Zoma's Triangulex technology uses triangular foam cutouts in three zones to provide targeted support for different body regions. The concept is similar to Amerisleep's HIVE technology, creating softer zones for pressure points and firmer zones for support areas.
At $749, Zoma undercuts Bear's $1,290+ price point for a recovery-focused mattress. While it lacks the Celliant cover technology, the zoned support and gel cooling provide practical performance benefits that are easier to quantify than fabric-based recovery claims.
Side sleepers in our testing group rated Zoma's pressure relief as excellent for the price. The medium firmness (6/10) provides enough cushioning for shoulders and hips without excessive sinkage. Back sleepers also reported good support.
The main limitation is edge support — as an all-foam mattress, it can't compete with hybrids in this area. The 100-night trial and 10-year warranty are standard. For athletes on a budget who want zoned support, Zoma delivers meaningful value.
