Our Hands-On Experience
Pulling the Premier Rest out of the box, I immediately noticed the 16-inch profile. This is substantially thicker than the standard DreamCloud, and the cashmere-blend cover felt noticeably softer and more substantial in my hands. The overall build quality felt solid, with tight stitching and no loose threads, which isn't always the case with online mattresses. Unboxing and setting it up took about 15 minutes, and off-gassing was minimal, dissipating almost entirely within a few hours.
Sleeping on my side and back, I found excellent pressure relief, particularly around my hips and shoulders. The extra foam definitely made a difference; I measured a sinkage of about 2.5 inches when lying on my side, which felt supportive but cradling. My partner, who tends to sleep hot, reported staying comfortably cool throughout the night, attributing it to the hybrid design and what felt like a slightly more breathable cover than the original Premier.
