    About Purple

    Purple launched in 2015 with viral marketing (the famous "raw egg test" videos) and a genuinely novel product: a Hyper-Elastic Polymer grid originally engineered by founders Tony and Terry Pearce for industrial cushioning applications. The grid collapses under pressure points (hips, shoulders) but stays firm under support zones, producing a feel that doesn't resemble foam or coils.

    The brand went public in 2021 (NASDAQ: PRPL) and has since expanded from one all-grid mattress to a full hybrid lineup — Purple Plus, Purple Restore, Purple RestorePremier, and the all-grid Purple Mattress at the entry level.
