    About Lucid

Lucid is Malouf's value line, sold mostly through Amazon and big-box marketplaces, and it is one of the highest-volume mattress brands in the United States by unit count.

The catalog is intentionally sprawling: 6-, 8-, 10-, 12- and 14-inch foam and hybrid builds in gel memory foam, bamboo charcoal, latex hybrid and plush variants, with a price ladder that starts under $200 for a twin.

The Lucid name is probably better known for toppers than mattresses — the 2- and 3-inch gel and lavender-infused toppers are perennial best sellers and are a legitimately good way to soften a too-firm bed for well under $100.

    What they make

Budget memory foam, gel foam, latex hybrid and coil hybrid mattresses, plus the best-selling Lucid mattress topper range and bed frames.

    Origin

US brand under Malouf; manufacturing largely overseas

    Lucid Signature Technologies

    Gel-Infused Memory Foam

Gel beads dispersed through the comfort layer to slow heat build-up in a dense foam.

    Bamboo Charcoal Infusion

Charcoal-infused foam used on several models to control odor and moisture.

    Ventilated Latex Hybrid

A perforated latex comfort layer over pocketed coils on the hybrid models, which is rare in this price class.

    • Anyone with meaningful back pain who needs zoned support

How Much Does a Lucid Mattress Cost?

Lucid queens run $200$700 across the lineup (budget tier). The table below estimates the rest of the size ladder from that queen range using the standard size pricing brands apply — the low column tracks the entry model, the high column the flagship. Treat these as planning estimates rather than quotes: promotions move real street prices by 20–30% for weeks at a time.

    Lucid FAQ

    Who makes Lucid mattresses?

Lucid is a brand of Malouf, the Utah bedding company, and is sold primarily through Amazon and other online marketplaces rather than through Malouf's dealer network.

    Are Lucid mattresses any good?

For the money they are reasonable — especially the latex hybrid builds, which offer materials you rarely see under $600. They are best understood as short-to-medium-term mattresses for guest rooms, rentals, and tight budgets rather than a primary bed you keep for a decade.

Which Lucid topper should I get?

The 3-inch gel memory foam topper is the one to buy if your mattress is too firm; the 2-inch is a light adjustment only. Lavender and bamboo charcoal versions are the same foam with an infusion — pick by preference, not performance.

How long does a Lucid mattress last?

Plan on three to five years of nightly use. Occasional-use guest beds will last considerably longer.
