Is Layla actually flippable?
Yes — both sides of the Layla mattress are designed as primary sleep surfaces. The soft side (4/10 firmness) is on top by default; flip the mattress to access the firm side (7/10 firmness). The cover is reversible and printed differently on each side so you know which side is up.
Should I get the Layla Memory Foam or Layla Hybrid?
The Memory Foam is the flippable original — best for side sleepers, lighter sleepers, and those wanting maximum contouring. The Hybrid adds pocketed coils for more bounce, better edge support, and improved cooling — best for back sleepers, heavier sleepers, and combination sleepers. Both are flippable.
Does Layla copper foam actually keep you cooler?
Modestly — copper conducts heat better than standard memory foam, and our thermal lab measured a 1.4°F surface-temp advantage vs. uninfused memory foam. The Layla Hybrid sleeps significantly cooler than the all-foam Layla because of the coil airflow. For aggressive cooling, choose the Hybrid.
How heavy is a Layla mattress to flip?
A Queen Layla Memory Foam weighs about 80 lb; the Hybrid is about 110 lb. Both are genuinely two-person jobs to flip. If you live alone or aren't strong enough to flip a 80–110 lb mattress, this is a meaningful drawback to consider.
