Zinus Mattress Review
The budget benchmark — foam and hybrid mattresses that start under $300.
About Zinus
Zinus started in 1979 making camping gear in Korea and pivoted to compressed mattresses, becoming one of the first brands to prove a mattress could ship in a box at all.
Today Zinus is the volume leader in online budget bedding, selling primarily through Amazon, Walmart, and Target as well as direct. Its Green Tea memory foam line is one of the highest-selling mattresses in the US by unit count.
In testing, Zinus beds are exactly what their price suggests: acceptable comfort, modest durability, and no meaningful support engineering. They are the right answer for guest rooms, first apartments, and short-term needs, not for a primary bed you expect to keep a decade.

How Much Does a Zinus Mattress Cost?
Zinus queens run $250–$700 across the lineup (budget tier). The table below estimates the rest of the size ladder from that queen range using the standard size pricing brands apply — the low column tracks the entry model, the high column the flagship. Treat these as planning estimates rather than quotes: promotions move real street prices by 20–30% for weeks at a time.
| Size | Dimensions | Entry model (est.) | Flagship (est.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twin | 38" × 75" | $155 | $435 |
| Twin XL | 38" × 80" | $165 | $460 |
| Full | 54" × 75" | $205 | $575 |
| Queen | 60" × 80" | $250 | $700 |
| King | 76" × 80" | $320 | $895 |

Zinus FAQ
Are Zinus mattresses any good?
For the price, they are reasonable. A Zinus Green Tea queen at $300 will be comfortable initially and hold up acceptably for a guest room. It will not match a $1,000 bed for support or durability, and it is not the right choice if you have back pain.
How long do Zinus mattresses last?
Expect three to five years of primary use before noticeable softening, longer in a guest room. The hybrids with iCoil units last longer than the all-foam models.
Is Zinus good for heavy people?
Not really. Above about 230 lb the foam compresses too far and the support core bottoms out. Look at a purpose-built heavy-duty hybrid such as the WinkBed Plus or Big Fig instead.
