Compressing memory foam to a tenth of its volume, rolling it, and leaving it that way through weeks of shipping and warehousing puts real stress on the cell walls. If one of you works shifts, or one of you is a light sleeper who wakes at any disturbance, this is the single strongest reason to choose this bed over a hybrid at the same price.

The trade-off is the one every all-foam bed makes: it is slower to respond when you change position, and it holds more heat than a coil bed. The cooling gel panel over the lumbar region mitigates the heat rather than eliminating it.
