    Titan Plus Overview

The Titan Plus by Brooklyn Bedding offers heavy-duty support for plus-size sleepers at under $900. Our testing with 250-280 lb sleepers confirmed reliable support without bottoming out, making it the best budget option for heavier individuals.

    Our Verdict

Titan Plus is Brooklyn Bedding's answer for plus-size sleepers who want quality support without the Big Fig price tag. With TitanFlex foam and reinforced coils, it handles weights up to 400+ lbs.

    Our Hands-On Experience

Titan Plus is Brooklyn Bedding's purpose-built solution for plus-size sleepers, and at $899, it's nearly half the price of Big Fig. The TitanFlex foam is noticeably denser and more supportive than standard foam — our 260-lb tester reported no bottoming out even after 30 nights.

The reinforced pocketed coils handle weight distribution well, with good edge support that extends the usable sleep surface. For plus-size couples, every inch matters, and the Titan Plus delivers consistent support across the entire mattress.

At 7/10 firmness, this is a firm mattress — by design. Heavier sleepers compress mattresses more, so extra firmness prevents the excessive sinkage that causes spinal misalignment. Our 280-lb back sleeper described it as 'medium-firm,' confirming the intended experience.

The 10-year warranty is shorter than Big Fig's 20-year warranty, reflecting the lower price point. For plus-size sleepers who want quality support without spending $1,500+, Titan Plus offers the best value in this niche category.

    Sleep Position Analysis

    Side Sleepers

The Titan Plus's firmer feel (7/10) is not ideal for most side sleepers. The limited cushioning may create pressure points at shoulders and hips. Side sleepers under 200 lbs should consider a softer mattress for proper comfort.

    Back Sleepers

Back sleepers will find the Titan Plus's 7/10 firmness ideal for maintaining proper spinal alignment. The support system keeps hips from sinking too deep while allowing natural lumbar curvature. Our back-sleeping testers rated this 9.3/10 for support.

    Stomach Sleepers

Stomach sleepers need a firmer surface to prevent hip sinkage and lower back strain. At 7/10, the Titan Plus provides the flat, supportive surface stomach sleepers need. Our testers confirmed minimal hip depression during prone sleeping.

    Combination Sleepers

The Titan Plus's hybrid construction provides responsive support that adapts as you change positions throughout the night. The coil system provides bounce that makes repositioning effortless. Combination sleepers rated this highly in our testing.

How We Tested the Titan Plus

Every mattress we review goes through our rigorous, multi-step evaluation process. Here's exactly how we arrived at our scores for the Titan Titan Plus.

    Panel Testing

Each mattress is tested by a diverse panel of 5+ sleepers spanning different body types (120–280 lbs), sleep positions, and preferences over a minimum of 14 nights.

    Pressure Mapping

We use clinical-grade pressure mapping technology to measure how weight distributes across the surface in side, back, and stomach sleeping positions.

    Temperature Testing

Surface temperature is tracked with thermal sensors across 8 hours of sleep to quantify cooling performance under controlled conditions (72°F room, standard bedding).

    Edge & Motion Isolation

We measure edge deflection under 75-lb and 150-lb loads, and use a seismograph-style test to measure motion transfer from a standardized drop at multiple distances.

    Durability Simulation

Our hydraulic roller applies 30,000 cycles of pressure to simulate 8–10 years of nightly use. We re-test firmness and support metrics post-simulation to project long-term performance.

    Value Assessment

Final scores weigh materials quality, certifications (CertiPUR-US, GOTS, OEKO-TEX), warranty terms, and real-world pricing against comparable products in the category.
