Side sleeping is a loft problem before it is a comfort problem. The gap between the mattress and the ear is wider than most pillows fill, and an under-lofted pillow tips the head down and strains the neck all night. This variant simply packs far more of the same kapok-latex fill to close that gap.

For our broad-shouldered testers it was the first Avocado pillow that held cervical alignment through the night without needing a folded towel underneath. Because the fill is still removable, sleepers who found it slightly too tall could dial it back rather than returning it.
