Neck pain sufferers - what pillow finally worked for you?

I have been dealing with chronic neck pain for years and have tried at least 10 different pillows. Nothing seems to help.
Currently using a memory foam contour pillow but I wake up stiff every morning. My chiropractor suggests something that maintains cervical alignment but every pillow claiming to do that has failed me.
What finally worked for you neck pain folks? I am desperate at this point.

Have you tried a water pillow? The Mediflow Water Pillow was recommended by my physical therapist and it actually helped. The water adjusts to your head position throughout the night.
Tempur-Pedic Neck Pillow finally worked for me after years of searching. It is expensive but worth it. The contour actually supports my neck properly unlike generic contour pillows.
Might sound weird but a buckwheat hull pillow was the answer for me. Fully moldable to your exact neck shape. Takes getting used to the sound/feel but my neck pain is gone.

Community answers are the lived experience half of the picture. The other half is measured data. Everything below comes from our own lab work in Encinitas, where we record pressure-mapping results, surface-temperature change over an eight-hour night, motion transfer, and edge-support deflection on every mattress we buy. Use the discussion above for real-world ownership detail — how a bed felt after a year, how a brand handled a warranty claim, whether a sale price was actually a discount — and use the guides below to check those impressions against repeatable measurements before you spend money.
