Our Hands-On Experience
The Adapt is the more approachable of Tempur-Pedic's two toppers. At medium it responds a little faster than the Supreme and does not swallow you the same way, which makes it a better fit for combination sleepers who still want authentic TEMPUR contouring.
In side-by-side testing the practical difference came down to depth of hug: the Supreme cradles, the Adapt cushions. Back sleepers and lighter side sleepers were happier on the Adapt; dedicated side sleepers with shoulder pressure preferred the Supreme.
Both share the same weaknesses — heat retention relative to latex and a high price for an accessory. At $449 buy the Adapt when you want to nudge a firm mattress toward medium without committing to a full memory foam feel.
