Costco mattress return policy is insane - used it after 11 months

Just wanted to share my experience with Costco's return policy. I bought a Novaform mattress 11 months ago and it developed a 1.5" body impression. Returned it with zero hassle - they didn't even ask questions. Full refund. I know some people feel guilty about this but the mattress was genuinely defective. Ended up getting a Casper from Costco instead and it's been much better. Just a reminder that Costco's return policy is one of the best reasons to buy a mattress there.

Costco member for 20 years. Their mattress selection has gotten SO much better. I bought a Casper queen there for $550 which is about $400 less than the Casper website. And yes, the return policy is unbeatable. No other retailer even comes close.

Sleep Sage research on this topic

Community answers are the lived experience half of the picture. The other half is measured data. Everything below comes from our own lab work in Encinitas, where we record pressure-mapping results, surface-temperature change over an eight-hour night, motion transfer, and edge-support deflection on every mattress we buy. Use the discussion above for real-world ownership detail — how a bed felt after a year, how a brand handled a warranty claim, whether a sale price was actually a discount — and use the guides below to check those impressions against repeatable measurements before you spend money.

Sleep Sage buys the mattresses it tests and earns commission on some links, which never changes a score. Forum posts are member opinions and are not medical advice; talk to a clinician about persistent pain or a suspected sleep disorder.
